Bericht van de medezeggenschapsraad (MR)
 
De MR van het Slingertouw is voornemens om na iedere bijeenkomst de ouders en kinderen via deze weg kort te informeren over de onderwerpen die tijdens de bijeenkomst behandeld zijn. Dit is bedoeld als een laagdrempelige manier om op de hoogte zijn wat er zoal besproken wordt. Nadere details zijn op een later moment terug te vinden in de notulen die na een volgende vergadering gepubliceerd worden op de website van onze school.
 
Wat is en doet de MR eigenlijk?
De MR is een groep van 10 mensen, 5 ouders en 5 personeelsleden. Samen met de drie directieleden van de school bespreken, adviseren en beslissen we over de opzet, inhoud en organisatie van onderwijsbeleidszaken. We zetten ons samen in voor de belangen van de kinderen, ouders en personeelsleden van de school. We bespreken geen individuele of persoonlijke situaties, maar bespreken de gang van zaken, aanpak van dingen, borging van afspraken, etc. We vergaderen ongeveer 6 keer per jaar.
 
Dinsdag 21 juni was de MR dit schooljaar voor het laatst bij elkaar. Naast de gebruikelijk onderwerpen als de ingekomen post, nieuws uit de GMR (overkoepelende MR van alle SKPO scholen) en de activiteiten commissie is er vanuit de directie o.a. een korte toelichting geven op het formatieproces, het werkverdelingsplan, de eindtoets en het traktatiebeleid, waar ook de Slingerraad bij betrokken is. Daarnaast is er wat langer stilgestaan bij het onderwerp veiligheid en hebben we afgesproken om dit onderwerp op de radar te houden en elkaar hierop te blijven uitdagen. Aanleiding waren de bizarre weersomstandigheden tijdens de sportdag onlangs.
 
Ook is stilgestaan bij de inzet van de gelden die door de overheid zijn toegewezen via het NPO (Nationaal Programma Onderwijs). Focus op o.a. taalontwikkeling, talentontwikkeling en de vastlegging van alle resultaten en werk van de kinderen in het Rapportfolio waar de school mee aan de slag gaat.
 
Tijdens de afgelopen studiedagen (24 en 27 juni) is ook stilgestaan bij het jaarplan voor het nieuwe schooljaar. Advies van de MR aan de directie was vooral om gericht aan bepaalde onderwerpen te werken en die echt onderdeel te maken van de school dan te veel tegelijkertijd aandacht te willen geven. Na de studiedagen zal de MR haar feedback nog geven op de laatste versie van het plan.
 
In deze laatste vergadering van het jaar is teruggeblikt op het afgelopen MR jaar door de leden. Overall kijkt iedereen positief terug, zeker sinds de bijeenkomsten weer fysiek op locatie waren. Robin Platjouw vanuit het personeel en Koen van Buul vanuit de ouders hebben afscheid genomen van de MR. Hun zittingstermijn zit erop, om die reden zal na de zomervakantie een oproep volgen voor een vacature in de MR voor een ouder. Hou dus begin van het schooljaar de website/app in de gaten!

Message from the Participation Council (MR)
 
The MR of the Slingertouw intends to briefly inform the parents and children about the topics discussed after each meeting. The intent is to provide high-level insight into topics being discussed. Detailed minutes will be published on the school website after review in the next MR meeting.
 
What is and does the MR actually do?
The MR is a group of 5 elected parents and 5 staff members. Together with the 3 board members of the school, we discuss, advise and decide on a variety of topics roughly 6 times per year. These include the design, content and organization of educational policy matters. We are committed to the interests of the children, parents and staff of the school. We do not discuss individual or personal situations, but discuss the state of affairs, approach to things, securing agreements, etc.
 
The MR met for the final time this school year on Tuesday June 21st. The usual topics included the incoming mail, news from the GMR (MR of all SKPO schools) and the activities committee. Additionally we discussed, a brief explanation of the formation process (assigning staff to groups), the work distribution plan, the group 8 test and the birthday-treat policy (in which the “Slingerraad” is involved). In addition, the subject of safety was considered for a while longer and we have agreed to keep this subject on the radar and to continue to challenge each other on this – trigger for this was the storm that hit at the end of the Sports-day.
 
The use of the funds allocated by the government through the NPO (National Education Program) was also reviewed. At Slingertouw we will focus on, language development, talent development and recording all the results and work of the children in the Rapportfolio that the school will work with (online progress sharing tool).
 
During the study days (June 24 & 27), the annual plan for the new school year will be discussed among school staff. The advice of the MR to the management is to focus on a limited number of topics and ensure true embedding rather than spreading themselves too thin. After the study day, the MR will give its feedback on the latest version of the plan.
 
As this was the final meeting this school-year, the members looked back on the past MR year. Overall, everyone looks back positively, especially since the meetings were physically on location again. Robin Platjouw from the staff and Koen van Buul from the parents said goodbye to the MR. Their term has come to an end, for that reason a call will follow after the summer holidays for a vacancy in the MR for a parent. So keep an eye on the website/app at the beginning of the school year!
